About The Event

Ongoing since 2014, this 3 hour workshop-style Yoga class, created with soon-to-be teachers in mind, focuses on providing functional and foundational anatomy of not only pelvic floor, but all aspects relating to it (whole body), as well as anatomy of and connection to breath, alignment and movement. Furthering these concepts we look at how these can affect core control, asana, and possibly lead to injury. We integrate and embody biomechanics and control strategies through asana, case study discussion and posture analysis. 

These classes are provided as part of a 200 hour yoga teacher training (provided twice per year) and have been evolving and enhancing students' personal practice and their teachings. Taught with the Sacred Movement Yoga School's 200hr Hatha Teacher Training, as well as Ashtanga Yoga Ottawa's 200hr Vinyasa Teacher Training.
