About The Event
Many changes occur to your body during pregnancy, which may lead to pain and dysfunction, possibly limiting your mobility for labour and/or creating imbalances that persist postnatally.
Join us for this 4-week series where you will learn to connect to your body and learn pregnancy-specific exercises to help keep you moving during pregnancy, prepare for childbirth, and assist with recovery postnatally.
Various topics will be discussed and integrated through movement during this course:
- Postural and bodily changes during pregnancy
- Common symptoms of pregnancy, such as pelvic girdle pain, pelvic floor dysfunctions and Diastasis Recti Abdominus (DRA)
- Pregnancy Myths
- Pregnancy-specific exercises to prepare body for childbirth
- Postpartum care
Classes are 1 hour and limited to 5 participants for more individual care. Classes may be covered by extended health insurance plans under Physiotherapy if you are currently under active care. For all outside patients, please have your referring Physio complete the form below.
