About The Event

Life can be really hard sometimes, and meditation can bring a little bit of peace and clarity into your life. But there are so many different ways to meditate; how will you know what’s best for you?

This series will introduce you to the following ways to practise meditation:

  1. Mindful movement;
  2. Writing and Drawing;
  3. A Guided restorative practice known as yoga nidra;
  4. An object meditation practice.
How might you benefit?  You may experience:
  • Greater clarity of thought.
  • Feelings of calm or peace.
  • Feeling rested.
  • A reduction in pain.
  • Less anxiety or depression.

This 4-week series of 60-minute classes will take place in a small group format (maximum 10 people) led by Lisa Paterson, C-IAYT, M.Ed., E-RYT.  Lisa is a Certified Yoga Therapist, a yoga and meditation teacher, and a psychotherapist (no longer in practice).  She’s known for being a comforting and supportive guide.

This series is designed with beginners in mind; however, anyone who is curious about a creative approach to meditation is very welcome to join us.
