About The Event
For those with mobility and/ or pain issues staying active, mobile and flexible can be a challenge. Guided in how to use props such as a chair, wall and other tools in a creative way can significantly improve ones empowerment and return to movement and health.
Join us for this 6 week series, co-created by our Physiotherapy and Yoga Teacher team, where we will be intentionally progressed through supported stretching, core retraining, strengthening, mobility, and functional movements including balance to enhance your daily activities and health goals.
This series is open to any persons who may have a more medically complex health profile, where you feel you need the supervision and guidance of a health professional.
Participants will gain:
- knowledge and experiential learning of how to modify movement, energy and breath in a safe manner
- understand the interconnectedness of the core as your central stability system, head to toe
- a myriad of self care tools including breath work to assist in calming the nervous system and pain, as well as increasing sensation and bodily awareness
Classes are 45 minutes and limited to 6 participants for more individual care. Classes may be covered by extended health insurance plans under Physiotherapy if you are currently under active care. For all outside patients, please have your referring Physio complete the form below
